2025 New Business Venture Award*
Description
Awarded to a new business/venture that has been operating for more than one but less than three years as of December 31, 2024. This could include the expansion of an existing business into a new venture. The new business/venture will demonstrate exceptional performance and financial viability. Judging takes into account the relative size of the business. *Please note that change in ownership of a business does not, in itself, qualify the entity as a new business.*
2025 Community Contribution Award*
Description
Awarded to a business that demonstrates exceptional support of recreation, amateur sports, arts and culture, charitable groups, or other community efforts in the Battlefords and area. Judging takes into account the relative size of the business.
2025 Young Entrepreneur Award*
Description
Awarded to a young entrepreneur (age 35 or under on December 31, 2024) who has established or expanded a business on or before December 31, 2023. The young entrepreneur will have demonstrated signs of success and viability in the venture. Judging will take into account relative size of business.
2025 Micro Business Award*
Description
Awarded to a small business or home office which has demonstrated significant business achievement, sustainable performance, a high level of customer service, innovation, unique differentiation, and community involvement. Judging will take into account relative size of business.
2025 Agriculture and Agri-Business Award*
Description
Awarded to a business recognizing excellence of operating a successful farm or agricultural related business where diversification, innovation, sound business practices, workplace safety, demonstration of commitment to the environment and community involvement is part of the corporate identity.
2025 Heather Guthrie Customer Service Star Award (Business Owner/Entrepreneur)*
Description
Awarded to a business owner/entrepreneur who consistently demonstrates excellence in customer service and/or hospitality, leadership, and whose service positively impacts the business, in measurable and strategic ways.
2025 Impact Award (Non-Profit, Not-for-Profit or Charity)
Description
Awarded to a charitable or not-for-profit/non-profit business or organization that with the efforts of their volunteers, displays a commitment to making the Battlefords and area a better place for individuals to grow and thrive through the development and support of a community project or program.
2025 Heritage Award
Description
This award recognizes pioneer and cornerstone business leaders in the Battlefords and area who have demonstrated excellence over an extended period of time and whose business has contributed to the economic well-being of the Battlefords and immediate area. The business must have been in continuous operation for at least fifteen (15) years but does not need to be currently operating in order to be eligible.
2025 Members' Choice Award
Description
Battlefords & District Chamber of Commerce members will be given an opportunity to vote for their peers, in this Member's Choice Award. The nominee will have demonstrated excellence and a sustained level of performance in any area of business in the past 12-18 months. Please describe the area of excellence and what impact the business has had on you and the Battlefords as a whole.
